How do I get it?

How can I contribute? How do I get connected?

You can help the B4YS project in many ways, from a simple registration of interest in a connection, to a pledge of elbow grease at a community dig, or even a donation of funds.

If you are interested in helping here are things you can do:

  1. Invest in shares – we need local investors to fund equipment and materials for the route around the villages.  Your funds can be targeted specifically for your parish if you wish. Click here read our new shares page and download an application form.

  2. Lend money to the project – For taxpayers, share purchases will give you the best return, however businesses and individuals who don’t pay tax can still lend money B4RN for a 6.5% return.
  3. Register for a connection – so we know to bring the fibre your way. Use this form.
  4. Sign up for the B4YS newsletter – we’ll keep you up to date with the latest news on the B4YS project, specifically for the Yealands, Silverdale & Storth. We won’t share your details with anyone else. See the sign-up form on the right of this page, or click here >>

  5. Talk to your neighbours – to see if they want to join (encourage them if they don’t) and tell them about the B4YS project. Direct them to our website, www.B4YS.org.uk

  6. Landowners, tell us about your land – Our most important job when beginning this project is finding out about local land, especially the landowners. If you haven’t seen it yet, read our page with information for landowners.
  7. Offer your services – to the B4YS project and the local community. Room hire, diggers, labour, stationery, anything! We will need a whole range of skills, anything you can offer will be greatly appreciated by the community. Offer your services to help the project below:
